The "Talent Night Market": Campus Job Fair Jointly Organized by the Three Colleges Was Successfully Held
Date: April 15, 2025

On the evening of December 2, 2023, the Shenzhen University 2023 "Liyuan Spreading Wings" finance/technology/Internet industry unique "Talent Night Market" job fair, jointly organized by the School of Mathematics and Science, University Webank Institute of FinTech, and the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, was held as scheduled on the lawn next to Huixing Building. Liu Haishan, Secretary of the SWIFT party Committee; Luo Shaowu, Deputy Director of the SWIFT student Department; Liao Jianghai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering; and relevant teachers from the three colleges attended the event.

23 companies attended this job fair, including WeBank, Foresea Life Insurance, Bosera Fund, and Century Securities. The companies offered a variety of positions to meet the needs of students from different majors and situations, providing broad career development opportunities for those present. In addition to corporate participation, the talent night market also set up booths for recruitment consultation, resume diagnosis, and student development planning, providing one-on-one and face-to-face services for students on-site. The "Talent Night Market" also prepared various educational games for the students, such as tabletop curling, Huarong Dao, and tangrams. The engaging games and exquisite prizes added a sense of relaxation and fun to the event.

The atmosphere at the job fair was lively and crowded. Students actively communicated with potential companies' HR, inquiring about specific recruitment information and current employment status—long queues formed in front of many booths. Through consulting company information and communicating with HR, students learned about job information, responsibilities, and benefits related to their majors. They also received patient answers and practical suggestions from company representatives. These pieces of information have greatly benefited fresh graduates. Many non-graduating students also came to the scene to understand the employment situation in advance, familiarize themselves with the job fair environment, participate in career planning games, and prepare for future employment and development directions.  It is reported that career planning guidance has been included in the job fair section of this event for the first time. Through MBTI and other tests, students can unlock a variety of career planning activities, enhance their interest in career planning, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

Many students gathered in front of the resume diagnosis booth at the talent night market, confused about their personal resumes and future development plans. They hoped to find their shortcomings and position their next development direction through face-to-face resume optimization. The job fair hired several school teachers to provide resume guidance and planning services to allow students to show a better version of themselves in job applications, highlight their core competitiveness, and increase the probability of passing the interview. After the event, some students who participated in the resume diagnosis were interviewed. Most of them were surprised by the teachers' insightful comments and said the guidance helped them clarify their future development direction, which was worth it.

The job fair jointly organized by the three colleges has provided students with diversified and varied job opportunities by building a complete and adequate recruitment platform. At the same time, it has provided enterprises with better talent resources, deepened mutual understanding between enterprises and job seekers, and effectively promoted school-enterprise cooperation.
