On the morning of July 11th, the third WeBank Scholarship Summer Camp opened as scheduled. Dean Zhang Kai, Deputy Secretary Lou Zhuonan and Teacher Qi Han from the institute, honored guest Wang Huan from WeBank, counselor Zhang Taotao, and 28 students participating in the camp attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Liang Tingting from WeBank.

Dean Zhang Kai delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of this summer camp. The WeBank Summer Camp aimed to inspire outstanding students in the field of FinTech, and cultivate their diverse perspectives in the field. The institute encouraged students to cultivate a “learning perspective” during the summer camp, to gain knowledge through “learning”, to reflect in a timely manner during “practicing”, and to broaden their horizons through “observation”. The purpose of selecting Hong Kong and Singapore as research destinations for this study was to encourage us to learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses in their journey towards the world, and to set goals for their future development and planning.

Teacher Wang Huan gave high expectations for this summer camp. The WeBank Scholarship Summer Camp was one of the distinctive features of the college enterprise cooperation in education. This year, it has welcomed our first opportunity to go abroad and broaden our horizons. WeBank encouraged the institute to promote “comprehensive and high-quality” talent cultivation, and to enhance understanding of the development of the FinTech industry from different perspectives.

Firstly, Liang Tingting introduced the preparation and itinerary of the third summer camp. The theme of this trip was “learning knowledge + exploring the world”, focusing on universities and renowned FinTech companies in Hong Kong of China and Singapore. While enriching professional learning, it expanded international perspectives, from exchanging and sharing with renowned university experts, to visiting and learning from technology and financial leaders, and to exciting team city exploration activities to harvest friendships, as well as experiencing a journey of FinTech learning in a three-dimensional mode.

Subsequently, 5 groups of students took turns showcasing their talents, each with its own unique features. Students expressed great anticipation for this learning journey and also expressed their gratitude to the institute and WeBank for providing valuable opportunities.

At the end of the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Lou Zhuonan expressed affirmation for the energetic display of the students, and also reminded students to always prioritize safety during the journey, wishing them all good memories and friendship.
