As an industry-oriented institute, we pay special attention to the “deep integration of industry, academia, and research,” aiming to bring cutting-edge knowledge to students. Therefore, we have assembled a faculty team composed of professional teachers, academic experts, and industry elites.

Full-time Faculty - More than 30 full-time teachers are all from renowned institutions both domestically and internationally, with high academic standards and remarkable research achievements.

Visiting Professors - Hiring multiple renowned experts and scholars from industry and academia as visiting professors, such as Professor Yang Qiang, a world-class authority in the field of AI and Chief AI Officer at WeBank.

Industry Mentors - Having maintained close connections with well-known enterprises in the industry, we hire over 50 industry elites from renowned companies, including WeBank, Ping An Bank, the Shenzhen Branch of China Central Depository & Clearing Co., Ltd. , Bank of China, the Boston Consulting Group. The mentors will deeply involve in the practical and teaching aspects of students training, offering 7 courses, guiding over 60 practical projects, and directing students in participating in corporate internship or work.

Under these guidance and assistance, students actively take part in scientific and research projects and competitions, achieving various fruits.


In addition, our “SWIFT Lab” has been recognized as a “Guangdong Province University-Enterprise Joint Laboratory”. The lab is co-established with funding from WeBank, equipped with a range of advanced financial technology tools including the Wind Economic Database, FATE Federated Learning System, Fisco Bcos Blockchain Platform, WeCube Distributed Storage System, and SDC Platinum Database. These resources are readily available for students to engage in practical teaching and independent research, facilitating the transformation of theoretical learning into practical research outcomes.

Every summer vacation, the institute launches the “WeBank Study Tour” program, which includes visits to prestigious universities both domestically and internationally, as well as tours of financial institutions and leading technology companies. This aims to help students gain in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and enhance their research and practical skills, while broadening their international perspective.

Notably, the project is fully funded by WeBank and the institute. Over the past three years, students from WeBank’s finance program have traveled to places such as Beijing, Shanghai, Sanya, Chengdu, Hong Kong, and Singapore to participate in study tours. They have attended courses like “Social Big Data and Precision Advertising” and “Patent Big Data and Its Applications in Social Sciences” at prestigious institutions such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, National University of Singapore, and Nanyang Technological University, experiencing the technological breakthroughs and practical applications behind big data. They have also visited technology-driven representative companies like JD.com and Xiaomi, as well as traditional and internet-based financial enterprises, to learn about the practical applications of FinTech.

The summer study tour is about to embark on an exciting journey to London, UK. Our students will attend academic courses at the University of Cambridge, visit renowned financial institutions such as Barclays Bank and the London Stock Exchange, and explore cultural experience at the British Museum. We believe that the experience here will undoubtedly become a precious memory and valuable asset in the students’ lives.


The WeBank Special Internship Program, tailored by WeBank for the students, aims to build an integrated talent training system of “industry, learning, research and application” through school-enterprise cooperation, to cultivate reserve talents to meet the needs of the FinTech field, and to deepen the distinctive collaborative education features of our industry-oriented institute.

Every year, WeBank provides 30 internship positions for students, covering areas such as blockchain, AI, IT audit, and product operation. Through on-the-job training and mentorship, WeBank aims to integrate classroom learning and practical experience, ensuring students can apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.


In addition, our institute has established off-campus internship bases with 12 enterprises and signed agreements. As a result, these enterprises provide hundreds of job opportunities for students.
