First Salon for Audencia Alumni Gathering
Date: 2024-04-09

On the afternoon of March 19, Shenzhen Audencia Financial Technology Institute (SAFTI) hosted a lively reunion event at the M1 classroom, Huixing Building, filled with warm conversations among Audencia alumni. The gathering was graced by three esteemed professors from France, including Valérie Claude-Gaudillat, professor of strategic studies at Audencia Business School; Stéphane Coince, the Head of Sino-French Cooperation Programs at Audencia Business School; and Olga Ivanova Ruffo, the associate professor in Organization Studies & Ethics Department of Audencia Business School. Together with 11 alumni, they took a nostalgic trip down memory lane discussing their campus life, sharing updates about their current pursuits, and pondering over their future aspirations.

Party Secretary Liu Haishan warmly welcomed the professors and alumni to the gathering on behalf of SAFTI.

Professors and students from China and France sat together to share their work and life. Luo Qianxi, the president of the MBA class of 2019, shared a thought on behalf of the class about returning to the campus to revisit the classes of the French professors and experience first-hand the charm of the cooperation programs. Professor Stéphane proposed to invite alumni back on campus for an afternoon workshop. This would not only facilitate a learning experience but also help everyone relive their cherished school days. Li Haitao, an alumnus representing the Innovation Management class of 2021, proposed to have the alumni join the Audencia summer camp organized by the French side. The French faculty saw great potential in this idea, committing to reach out to the person in charge of the alumni association in France to see if they can coordinate and arrange a summer camp for alumni from China and France as soon as possible. The French faculty attentively addressed the queries and insights shared by the alumni in a lively and warm atmosphere throughout the event.

The 2-hour gathering flew by rapidly, but the alumni still stayed engaged in dynamic conversations with the professors. The French professors also agreed that such events were instrumental in fostering stronger bonds between alumni, their alma mater, and their French counterparts, and they would look forward to more of these engaging gatherings in the future.
