About Internship
During my school years, the college collaborated with well-known companies in the financial industry to conduct a series of visiting activities, which provided me with many opportunities to understand the financial industry. Therefore, during my internship, I chose China Merchants Bank and CITIC Securities. It was these two internships that gave me a deeper understanding of the business characteristics and work models of banks and securities firms. I personally think that working in a bank is more streamlined and the job responsibilities are relatively fixed; Working at a securities firm involves a diverse range of customer needs, making the job more challenging. In terms of organizational structure, banks place more emphasis on order and hierarchy, while securities firms prioritize small team collaboration. I believe that every job has its advantages and disadvantages, so when choosing a career direction, we need to grasp the main contradiction, understand our biggest demands, and clarify the points that we cannot accept relatively.
If you are afraid of risks yourself, a bank can be a good choice. Although the income is low, it is relatively stable; The advantages of securities firms are obvious, with clear incentive mechanisms, clear rewards and punishments, and the attractiveness of high salaries, but correspondingly accompanied by significant performance pressure.
Regarding employment
After graduation, I chose Beijing Shounong Group Finance Company, a state-owned enterprise, as my first choice. Its business type is similar to that of a bank, providing financial management services to member units of the enterprise group. This job is also the result of my consideration of multiple aspects. The reason why I chose state-owned enterprises is that they have standardized systems, clear job responsibilities, a relatively complete salary and welfare system, and attach great importance to the training of new employees. They are more market-oriented than civil servants and public institutions, and have a greater sense of security than private and foreign enterprises.
