Recently, the China International College Students' Innovation Competition2024concluded in Shanghai. Actively engaged in the Competition, SAFTI students brought six projects to the Main Higher Education Track (international projects), earning two silver awards and four bronze awards.
China International College Students' Innovation Competition
The China International College Students' Innovation Competition (formerlyknown as the China College Students' "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition) is the country's most prestigious youth competition, recognized for its highestproject value, largestparticipant base, and widestinfluence. Co-sponsored by 13 national ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Education and the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, theCompetition has been held nine times, drawing participation from numerous universities both domestically and internationally. With its high authority and influence, theCompetition plays a key role in deepening the reform of higher education, stimulatingcollegestudents' creativity, and cultivating the next generation oflead playersfor China's mass entrepreneurship and innovation initiative.TheCompetition also promotes thetransformationof innovationoutcomes from the event, encourages the development of new Internet business models, and contributes to the upgrading of the economy's quality and efficiency. By fostering entrepreneurshipwith innovations and then driving employment with entrepreneurship, it aims to help college graduates pursue higher-quality entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. In 2023, the competition was ranked No.1 among nationalcollegestudent competitionsforregular higher education institutions.

The outstanding performance in theCompetition serves as a testament to the strength of SAFTI's faculty and students, showcasing the solid academic foundation, innovative spirit, and exceptional teamwork abilities of our students.
To foster the well-rounded development of students, respect their individuality, and cultivate their creativity and innovationabilities for a better-quality education, SAFTI has established a Competition Teaching and Research Office. Composed of seven full-time faculty members with extensive experience in competition coaching, this team of frontline teachersplays a key role in talent development, teaching, research, and faculty growth.It serves to ignite the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of both teachers and students, encouraging active participation in various disciplinary competitions.SAFTI has also implemented a scholarship system to inspire students to reach academic excellence and achieve greater success. The Social Practice Department of SAFTI’s Youth League Committee supports students’ involvement in innovative competitions, handling competition notifications and organizing seminars and workshops to guide participants.To better prepare international program students for both domestic and international tracks of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (CICSIC), SAFTI has partnered with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Shenzhen University. Together, we have developed and incubated international track projects for the 2024 CICSIC and established the CICSIC International Track Training Camp. This initiative provides students with hands-on experience, helping them navigate competition rules and strategies, while fostering their innovation potential.
