On the afternoon of June 25th, the graduation ceremony forthe Class of2024graduates fromthe MScinFinancial Technology and RiskControlprogram of Shenzhen Audencia Financial Technology Institute (SAFTI), was solemnly held at the Alumni Plaza of the Yuehai Campus. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests and leaders including Mr. Olivier NGO,Scientific and Higher Education Attaché, Consulate General of France in Guangzhou; Ms. Desi SCHMITT,AssociateDeanforInternationalAffairsofAudenciaBusiness School; Mr. Nylam GAUTHIER, Head of Campus France Guangzhou; Mr. StéphaneJOLY, Director of Alliance Française de Shenzhen; Mr. Victor MEGIDO, Director of Business Development in Brazil at Audencia Business School; Prof. Stéphane COINCE, Academic Director for programs at SAFTI; Shuixian HAN, Director of International Office of Shenzhen University; Haishan LIU, Secretary of SAFTI Party Committee; Line QIAO, the French Vice Dean; Zhuonan LOU, Deputy Secretary; Rui GE, Vice Dean; Han QI, Vice Dean; and Guihua SUN, Founder of Huameng Technology & representative of industrial mentors of SAFTI. The ceremony was officially launched with the national anthem. Wei GUintroduced the situation of the 2024 graduates. There are a total of 92graduates of theMScinFinancial TechnologyandRisk Controlprogram, with a graduation rate of 98%. The graduates' employment is of high quality, with employers including China Merchants Bank Shenzhen Branch, Overseas Chinese Town Group, China Construction Bank Shenzhen Branch, iFlytek, and other enterprises. In addition, this year's graduates have made important breakthroughs in further studies, with 4 students having been successfullyadmitted to PhD programs at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Southern University of Science and Technology, Macao Polytechnic Institute, and Australian National University.
As theAssociate Dean forInternationalAffairsofAudencia Business School, Ms. Desi SCHMITThas been fully involved in the cooperative education programs between Shenzhen University and Audencia Business Schoolsince2018, playing an active role in promoting the construction and management of SAFTI. This time, she made a special trip from France to Shenzhen to attend the graduation ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of Audencia Business School.Ms. Schmittstated that Audencia Business School, as the partner in cooperative education with Shenzhen University, has established a close partnership with Shenzhen University over the years. Today, at the celebration for the graduation of the third cohort of students from the Master's programs, it was her sincere hope that graduateswill apply their knowledge in their future careers, realize personal value, and make contributions to society. Mr. Haishan LIU, Secretary of the SAFTI Party Committee, delivered a speech with the theme "Striveto be a top-quality talent with a global vision in the new era and makecontributions to China's financialdevelopment". He mentioned that he appreciated the students' pioneering spirit in choosing SAFTI to start theirextraordinary academic journey with courage and wisdom. Mr. Olivier NGOmade a special trip from Guangzhou to offer his graduation wishes to the students. He remarked that SAFTI is a very young school and that the education and training provided by the school are closely related to the challenges and major topicswe face in this era. He hopes that the students will maintain closerelationswith France through familiarizing themselves with French culture, learning French, attending summer camps, or interacting more with international students, etc. The year 2024 marks the 60thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, which is a special year for both countries. Under this opportunity, the two countries have organized many commemorative events. The format of a high table dinner is formal and solemn, where guests and students not only share authentic French cuisine but also deepen friendships throughthe exchange of ideas and cultures.
